EOOS Conference 2018

 

Evolving the European Ocean Observing System (EOOS): Connecting communities for end-to-end solutions

 

EOOS 2018 Conference will bring together the full breadth of ocean observing stakeholders from the scientific community, public authorities, industry and civil society to

(i) provide an overview of the range of observing/monitoring efforts in Europe,

(ii) consider requirements, gaps and cost-benefits of ocean observing;

(iii) align data acquisition activities with data processing, management and sharing efforts; and

(iv) discuss and strengthen the development of a coordinating ‘cycle’ for evolving EOOS.

 

This EOOS event is organized by the EMODnet, European Marine Board and EuroGOOS Secretariats in close collaboration with wider stakeholder community and with financial support from the European Commission. This Conference is linked to a one-day EOOS Forum that took place on 8 March 2018.
