The Norwegian Scientific Academy for Polar Research has announced plans for their summer school which will be held in Svalbard, Nroway, during the summer of 2020.
This year the main theme will be: “The Global Arctic.” And it will be the first of a three-year Summer school project. The summer school aims to produce a better understanding of the significance and concept of a Global Arctic.
Students from different disciplinary backgrounds will publish the results of their work at the summer school in a joint, peer-reviewed article published in an international journal with a high academic standard.
The main target group is PhD students and post-docs. Others with Masters degrees or special professional qualifications may be considered. For more information on the criteria and application process, please see this document.
